The talk I did the interview in was called Drawing in the digital media. He talked about how digital art is still similar to regular art, even though it is so much different. You can change settings to make your digital work look just like water color if you wanted to. Then he gave us some techniques on how he started some of his digital works and I thought it was cool to see his style and techniques. He said that even though there is undo button, you should not always use it because it does not always have to be perfect. Also sometimes when you erased something, the thing you erased might have been better and had more emotion to it. He showed us sculpture painting, which I had never seen before, but I thought it was amazing that you could basically work with clay, but digitally. The person Anna and I interviewed was named Henry. He talked about how he learned more about strokes, form, and new techniques. He also wished that he could see the rest of the demo he was showing us because he wanted to learn more techniques from the artist. I also felt the same way because I learned a lot just from the short 3 minute tutorial that the artist was showing us and that also could be because I am more of a visual learner.
I am definitely not positive that I want to work in the game design industry yet, but after walking around and talking to people, it made me realize why I took this class in the first place because I love games. Also it was cool to see people who are actually in the industry and are making games. I loved it and I would go again.
