This week I worked on lots of 3ds max models for my game. I wanted to add more of my own artwork to my game, so I created a few. I made a UFO, drone/robot, and two different futuristic houses. I wanted the houses to be super geometric and different from a house you would usually see on Earth. I also have been working on making this crackling fire sound play when you come near the smoking spaceship. I found the sound on Freesound.org. At fist I didn't know why it wasn't working and it wasn't working because I didn't have an audio listener.

I was making an alien space craft and then when I was looking through the edit poly area, I realized there is a thing called MSmooth. The smooth tool helps take all the sharp edges away and makes everything look a lot more realistic. This tool could be very useful if you are trying to make a bench and you want the edges to be smooth.
To make an enemy follow you on unity, you can't just have the script, but you also need animations, so it doesn't look like the object is just floating towards you. The object I found on the asset store, luckily already had animations. I used one animation for the object to just chill there and another animation for getting alerted and then attacking. These animations help make the object seem more realistic. I also set it up, so that the enemy only starts attacking you at a certain distance and when you run away a certain distance the enemy will stop chasing you.
In class this week, I have added a functional health bar and made it so that when you come near the enemy, they will chase you and then attack you at a certain point. One struggle I had, was when I was trying to make the enemy chase you, but I didn't put anything in the player spot. It was the FPSController that I was missing from my AI Basic Script. I'm also still struggling on fixing the inventory, but i'm going to try and fix it by next week. I still can't figure out why it is shifted to the right a little.
Agenda for next week
overall plan this week was to get a basic terrain to plan my game on and to make a fully functional inventory. I'm trying to make it, so that when I pick something up, it goes straight to the inventory. I'm now realizing this is going to be a lot harder than expected. I can't figure out why the slot for the inventory are shifted to the bottom right a little and I have spent the whole class looking over the script and can't find what little error is making it do this. Also the tutorial I'm watching is over 2 hours long, so I think it should take me another 3 or 4 days to finish the inventory.AThe tutorial video I am using is- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KLaGkc87dDQ
