Agenda for next week
- finish dialogue
- fix fps player
This week I have been working on making a dialogue system, so when you start the game it talks about why your here and what happened. I have used a tutorial I found on YouTube to help me out and so far I am about half way through the tutorial and hopefully I don't run into any errors. At the moment I'm trying to figure out how to make it so that when you touch the continue button, it takes you to a new sentence. Then when you are done reading the whole thing it will disappear.

I decided to review Call of Duty Black Ops 3, which is one of my favorite games of all time. I think that one of the reasons I love this game so much is because all of the achievements you can earn. You could probably play this game for 5 years straight and still not earn all the achievements. Once you get to level 30, then you can prestige and then prestige again and so on. You also can unlock different powers and gear. I also love multiplayer because in multiplayer there is a thing called the black market and after winning a certain amount of games or killing a certain amount of player, you can get enough cryptokeys to unlock a random package. I love the idea of getting a mysterious package because it's a cool surprise. Also another feature on this game is called zombies. Zombies is basically multiplayer, but except the player, you have zombies. In this game, you try and survive as many levels as you possibly can. Every round the amount of zombies increase and they become faster. I love this because I love a good challenge and you can also work with teammates, which I love. I love working as a team to help accomplish a goal. Also another cool feature in zombies is called gobblemgums. Gobblegums are basically different powers you can use during the game to help you out. For example a gobble gum could be a nuke, which kills the zombies for that round. You unlock these gobblegums during zombie rounds by collecting liquid diviniums. These liquid diviniums can be found when opening doors or buying perks. Gubble gums are also a random generator and you can get rare, rare mega, and ultra-rare mega. Overall this is a great game and I would give it a 9/10.
This week I worked on tried using the survival shooter kit and tutorials to help me build my game. When I did this I ended up with lots and lots of errors, so I am not sure what to do. Also I worked in 3ds max on another cool futuristic building. I spent more time on this one and it’s nice and has lots of detail. I’m still confused on how to make a Jason file and I’ve tried looking up tutorials, but I just can’t figure it out. I need his Jason file, so I’m able to make the inventory. If I never find out how to make it, then I won’t be able to make an inventory, which I really want.

While working in Illustrator I was looking to find a tool that would cuts a nice, sharp line. I wanted an arch going over the trapped word, so it was like the word is trapped. The best tool for this is the scissors tool because this tool helps select certain segments, that you can then delete exactly where you selected. This is better than using the erase tool because the erase tool won't make a precise deletion. I also learned how to make the background invisible by selecting view and then show transparency grid. This is helpful for when you only want to show the object and not the background.
Overall this week I have been trying to make a functional inventory system. In the video he saves a file as a json file and I have no idea how he did it. I spent a whole class period trying to figure out how he did it. I think the reason why my whole script doesn't work is because it's not a json file. I have a around 27 errors, but I'm doing everything he's doing, except for saving the items.json as an actual json file. I'm extremely confused and have tried searching up different videos on how to save it as a json file, but I can't figure it out. I think I'm trying to accomplish things that are to advanced and confusing for me and I should try doing easier things. I also worked on a new building for my surroundings.
Agenda for next week
At the moment I am trying to make a new and improved inventory. This may take a while because I still have four more videos to watch on the tutorial I'm watching and they are each around 30-40 min long. Also I have started adding some of my 3ds max figures into game to help set the scene. Also I had a problem with the alien because it was suppose to follow me when I came near it, but instead it would teleport away from me. I had to mess around with the speed, alert distance, walking distance, and attacking distance. I found the road for free in the asset store, which looks very realistic. I'm a little confused with making the inventory because the guy in the tutorial is using this thing called Json, which I have never used, so I'm a little confused. I also don't know how to get rid of the little white things around the edges of the inventory.
